Sterling’s Lead Time

Lead Time

Sterling’s Lead Time

In any process the lead time is the time it takes from the initiation to completion. This is particularly important because it means the speed your customer will receive their purchase. With nearly everything being available at the tips of consumer’s fingers, a short lead time is essential. Sterling’s Process includes a couple of different types of lead times.

Customer Lead time

This is the amount of time it takes to gather the customer details and confirm the order. At this point in the process, you will be providing our Customer Service Team details about your need. We will gather your vehicle specifications, your individual preferences and we’ll find out what kind of ROI your company is looking for. You’ll be matched up and given a quote with products custom fitted to your vehicle model. Get More Done with equipment from Sterling.

Material Lead time

This is the time between when the customer details are complete and beginning production. When your order has left the Customer Service Team our staff will ensure the stock is available and order anything that isn’t. Your order will be scheduled into our shop accordingly. Make sure to let us know if you have a deadline!

Production Lead time

This is the duration of time it takes to build and ship products. In this stage of our process we’ll receive your vehicle, install the parts and arrange for pick-up or delivery. Our installation is above par. The constant rattling of a work van can irritate any technician. That’s why ensuring all equipment is mounted properly is important. Installing the equipment properly will reduce friction between it and the vehicle. We sell only the best products and perform the best installation.

Cumulative Lead time

This is the time it takes between the order confirmation and the delivery or shipping of the product. From contacting our Customer Service Team to stepping into your sleek, newly-upfitted van. You’re sure to receive full service when buying from Sterling.

Over the past few months, Sterling has been working hard to impact the perception in the market that we have long lead times.

We understand that this is our customer’s top priority and wanted to communicate to you today that it is our top priority as well.

In the last quarter we have undertaken multiple projects to address this issue. Including, hiring and training multiple highly skilled installers to maintain the high standard that you expect from Sterling.  Today we are pleased to tell you that we have reduced the lead time back to a level that our customers find acceptable and are able to work with your expectations.

If you would like to chat about the specific timeframe for your ongoing or upcoming build with us, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service.

Thank you for your continued business. We look forward to working with you soon!
