1. Can you tell us a little about your company and its core business?

ACME Technical Services is an outside telecom service maintenance / repair company. We specialize in fiber optic and copper service needs in most outside facility locations (aerial, cabinet / peds, vault, and manhole). We also do fiber optic cable testing and locates.

2. Why did you choose Sterling as your upfit provider?

We chose Sterling for our truck capsule purchase and upfit based on the reviews we did before reaching out to them for our needs.  We were provided accurate information on how they could meet and exceed our needs.

3. Can you name some efficiencies that you have experienced ever since you purchased our SB-01?

The SB01 capsules installed on our super duty 4 x 4 trucks have provided much better access to “off road” service locations.  The installed generator also provides the additional electronic needs for off grid work locations.

4. What specific features or aspects of our product and service have had the most significant impact on your business?

The capsules are well-made and very durable.  Over the past few years, so far, the only needed repairs were caused by vandalism, not our general work. Also, knowing that they can last for a long time – we can transfer the original capsules onto a new vehicle – reducing the total cost of needing a new service vehicle.

The customer service is great – they answer our questions and provide information and parts promptly.

5. How did you integrate the SB-01 into your workflow? Did technicians face any challenges while getting used to the product? If so, were those challenges resolved effectively?

The main challenge our technicians experienced with the capsules VS work vans – is the inside workspace. It is smaller than the work vans. However, it took them only a short time to figure out how to do all that is needed.

A few things they appreciate VS the work vans are – the vehicle’s ability to go to off the road work sites.   However, the main thing they appreciate is the air conditioning of the capsule. The work vans do not have air conditioning in the cargo work area. Management likes the durability and long life of the capsules.

6. What advice would you give other companies or professionals who are facing similar challenges that you experienced before using our product/service?

In the past, the upfit needs of our work vehicles had to be performed by a number of different businesses. A few months ago, we reached out to Sterling with a full list of the upfits that we needed as well as some new options we also wanted. They were able to meet all of our requirements. Having full upfits performed by a single business is a great option. The total upfit being performed by one company will provide a much higher upfit quality, faster service and over all a lower cost.
