Hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday

THE COMPANY

Sterling Fleet Outfitters is a fleet vehicle outfitter that assembles and installs van and truck equipment and accessories like van shelving systems, truck caps, & ladder racks. Our outfitting shop is consistently busy, growing, and taking on new challenges with some of the top fleets in greater Vancouver.

 

RECRUITMENT TASKS INCLUDE:

  • Recruitment tasks including;
    • Writing job ads – coordinating with the marketing department to ensure its searchable
    • resume screening
    • phone screening
    • scheduling and attending interviews
    • posting jobs on job boards
    • Reference checking
    • Administering skills test
    • Administering  background checks
    • Working and managing a posting budget
  • Brainstorming new and innovative ways to recruiting
  • Managing the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Performing onboarding tasks with all new hires

HR COORDINATION TASKS INCLUDE:

  • Assisting with applying for training grants
  • Managing
  • Developing, improving and maintaining company culture (i.e. company events & team  building exercises)
  • Helping to schedule reviews, 1 on 1’s and performance evaluations
  • Coordinating with the managers to schedule the necessary training
  • Taking on HR projects as needed

Requirements

YOU MUST HAVE…

  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years experience in an HR position
  • Previous experience with recruitment processes
  • Strong communication in written and spoken English
  • The ability to think outside of the box
  • You have a strong attention to detail, critical thinking and great judgment. You are the kind of person people call for advice or to have a second look at something important

IT’S AN ASSET IF YOU HAVE….

  • A background in Psychology or Human Resources is an asset
  • CPHR Designation or in progress an asset
  • Accounts Payable or reception experience is an asset
  • Administration experience is an asset
  • Project management/execution experience
